We have been sourcing and restoring old pine furniture well before we opened Mother Hubbard, in fact it was our obsession with collecting the furniture which led to our home overflowing with individual pieces and looking like a shop showroom, and a workshop which took the place of our dining room. Something had to be done, and so Mother Hubbard evolved and grew to our family business it is today.
We stock a comprehensive range of antique pine in our showrooms and will endeavour to source any items we don’t have on show. We are in the process of producing a showcase of individual items from which similar items can be sourced if the illustrated item is already sold. All the furniture is individual and almost impossible to source an identical item but we hope our showcase items will give you a clear picture of what is available.
All our pine is first stripped and refurbished, after which is can be polished with a range of different wax colours or it can be painted or left in its stripped state for you to DIY.
